The current Windows executables are official Ghost FTP release files but are not yet Authenticode-signed. Windows may therefore display a reputation warning. Verify the SHA-256 value before running the file.

Integrity before reputation

Every hosted build is served only when its size and SHA-256 digest match the release catalog. If a deployed file changes unexpectedly, the download endpoint fails closed instead of serving it.

Windows signing path

There is no trustworthy public equivalent to Authenticode for a directly downloaded unsigned EXE. The practical no-certificate alternative is a Microsoft Store MSIX submission, where Microsoft signs the Store package after certification. Direct EXE distribution should remain checksum-verified until trusted code signing is adopted.
